Effective from: 3rd July 2025
These FOODPANDA GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Gift Card Terms”) govern the purchase and use of any foodpanda pre-paid gift card (“Gift Card”). All pre-paid gift cards are issued by ePayLinks Technology Co., Ltd (“EPL”) for use only on foodpanda’s website and/or on foodpanda’s mobile applications in Hong Kong (collectively “Platform”). EPL is a stored value facility licensee (license number: SVF0011), authorised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The Gift Card can only be purchased by businesses which are registered in Hong Kong. “You” and “Your” refer to the person or entity which has purchased and/or used the Gift Card. Delivery Hero Food Hong Kong Limited (“foodpanda”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) has partnered with EPL such that EPL shall issue foodpanda Gift Cards.
Before purchasing and/or using the Gift Card from EPL through foodpanda, you must read carefully these Gift Card Terms and all other terms and conditions and policies pertaining to the use of the Platform and foodpanda’s Privacy Policy (https://www.foodpanda.hk/contents/privacy.htm) (collectively referred to as “Terms and Conditions”). You agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and any amendments to the foregoing issued by Us from time to time. If You do not agree to Terms and Conditions, You are advised not to purchase and/or use the Gift Card and/or to stop accessing and/or using this Platform.
1. The Gift Card
1.1 The Gift Card is an anonymous and non-reloadable electronic gift card with a predetermined value of not exceeding HKD8,000.
1.2 You may only purchase Gift Cards subject to a total value of HKD 25,000 in a single order. For bulk order / corporate purchase (exceeding total value of HK$25,001 or above), please email to corporate.sales@foodpanda.hk for further information. All purchased Gift Cards are non-refundable and non-returnable.
1.3 Payment: If You would like to place an order for a Gift Card via foodpanda, payment must be made via bank transfer at the time that such order is placed unless otherwise agreed by Us in writing. Please reach out to corporate.sales@foodpanda.hk to confirm payment method and terms.
1.4 Delivery: Gift Card shall be delivered to Your registered email address with Us no later than 7 business days (unless otherwise specified in writing by Us) from the date that we have received your payment, and the order for the Gift Card is confirmed and accepted by Us.
1.5 The Gift Card shall not be replaced or have the remaining balance refunded if it is stolen, lost, destroyed or used without Your permission. foodpanda shall not be responsible, and assumes no liability to you for any unlawful conduct or fraud by any third party associated with any Gift Card.
1.6 Validity Period:
(a) The validity period of the Gift Card is 90 days from the date when the Gift Card is issued by EPL, unless otherwise indicated by foodpanda to You in writing (“Validity Period”).
(b) Once the Gift Card has expired, an Expired Card Management Fee will be deducted from the remaining balance of the Gift Card each month until the card balance becomes zero. You may apply for balance redemption after the expiration date of the Gift Card as stated in Clause 1.6(d).
(c) We will not process a refund to an expired Gift Card. You shall ensure that the refund is done before the Gift Card has expired.
(d) You are encouraged to check the remaining balance in and the Validity Period of Your Prepaid Gift Card at foodpanda’s Platform, and to spend the remaining balance in Your Prepaid Gift Card before the expiry of the Validity Period . However, you may terminate the Gift Card services and apply for the balance redemption after the expiration date of the card. You need to send an email to EPL at Globalcash@epaylinks.hk to apply for Gift Card Cancellation and EPL will start a verification process within 15 business days. Please note that an Expired Card Redemption Handling Fee (as set out below in Clause 2.12) will be deducted from the remaining balance prior to cheque issuance. For Gift Card with balance equal to or below the applicable Expired Card Redemption Handling Fee, no redemption will be processed. A cheque for the remaining balance will be sent to You by EPL within one month after the application.
1.7 foodpanda has the right to suspend the processing of any order of the Gift Card where it reasonably believes that the transaction may be fraudulent, illegal or involves any criminal activity or where foodpanda reasonably believes you to be in breach of these Gift Card.
1.8 You confirm that the recipient email address, Gift Card value and all other information provided to foodpanda are accurate. foodpanda shall not be responsible and assumes no liability if the Gift Card is delivered to an unintended recipient or if the details provided by You are incomplete and/or inaccurate. By providing foodpanda with your Gift Card recipients’ email address, You warrant that You have the legal basis to do so.
2. Use of Gift Card
2.1 The Gift Card can be used to make any purchases from the Platform (“Order”) and You are entitled to deduct the value of the Gift Card from the total price of the Order.
2.2 Unless stated otherwise, the Gift Card is not restricted to any minimum order value.
2.3 In the event that the value of the Gift Card is insufficient to set off the total price of the Order, You shall be required to pay the remaining Order value via the payment methods that are made available by Us from time to time on the Platform. The payment methods currently available include credit card and pandapay.
2.4 The Gift Card must be applied at the check-out page prior to making a payment.
2.5 Any use of the same Gift Card made outside of the Validity Period shall be invalid and be rejected.
2.6 Unless stated otherwise, the portion of Order value settled by Gift Card shall not be eligible for earning cashback.
2.7 No partial redemption of a Gift Card shall be allowed if the balance in the Gift Card is sufficient to cover the Order value. If the Order value is less than the balance of the Gift Card, the outstanding balance (after deduction of Order value) will reflect under the same Gift Card and can be used for subsequent transactions.
2.8 Once the available balance in the Gift Card is zero, the Gift Card is no longer valid.
2.9 The Gift Card cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, nor shall it be transferable .
2.10 The Gift Card cannot be used to pay for subscription payments (e.g. for pandapro).
2.11 For an Order which qualifies for the Gift Cards, should such Order be refunded, cancelled or void, foodpanda shall have the sole discretion to determine the value of the Gift Cards to be refunded and deduct such value from the refund amount in accordance with our refund policy.
2.12 Apart from the purchase fees of the Gift Card, the fees and charges listed in the following table are applicable to Gift Cards. Such fees and charges shall be binding on the Gift Card cardholder if the cardholder continues to use or retain the Gift Card. Any such fees and charges may be varied subject to EPL’s notice for a period of not less than 30 days. You agree that EPL can directly debit the applicable fees and charges from Your Gift Card.

3. You agree that foodpanda and/or EPL can use Your personal information in accordance with foodpanda’s Privacy Policy and the Privacy Policy of EPL that you have read and accepted (accessible at https://www.globalcash.hk/gc4-app-pc/statement-en ).
4. In the event any suspicious transactions are identified, You agree that EPL and foodpanda may conduct customer due diligence on You and You agree to share the information requested by EPL and/ or foodpanda in a timely manner.
5. foodpanda reserves the right (i) not to accept any Gift Card and to (ii) limit the use of a Gift Card if We reasonably believe that the use of the same is unauthorized, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.
6. foodpanda does not warrant the quality or performance of the Gift Cards and shall not be responsible for any damages including, but not limited to, the loss of life, injury to person and/or damage to property arising from or in connection with the promotion and/or use of the Gift Cards.
7. foodpanda reserves the right to change, revise or amend the Gift Card Terms herein and/or cancel, revise or reject any redemption, discounts or promotions in relation to the Gift Card at any time without notice and without any liability or compensation whatsoever to You or to any person. Any decision made by foodpanda in relation thereto shall be final and binding on all persons.
8. foodpanda shall not be liable to any person (including You) and/or be liable to offer replacement of any Gift Cards, cash or otherwise compensate any person (including You) for expired, invalid, discontinued or cancelled Gift Cards; improper use of, or inability to redeem any Gift Card; or the inability to redeem a Gift Card due to technical issues.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of foodpanda shall be final and conclusive on all matters related to the Gift Card.
10. In the event of a dispute as to these Gift Card Terms, the English version shall prevail. The English language version of these Gift Card Terms shall control in all respects and shall prevail in case of any inconsistencies with translated versions.
