  • 180g of all-purpose flour
  • 300g of dark brown sugar
  • 80g of rolled oats
  • 1 tsp of kosher salt
  • 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch wedges
  • 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice

Directions

  • Heat the oven to 175°C.
  • Grease the 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, add flour, 200 grams of brown sugar, rolled oats, and salt.
  • Pour in the melted butter and mix with the fork until it forms a moist crumb.
  • In another bowl, add the apple wedges, 100 grams of brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix until the apple wedges are thoroughly and evenly coated.
  • Transfer the apple wedges onto the baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the crumbs on top, pressing them down to create clumps and fill in the gaps.
  • Transfer it into the oven, bake for 60 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, scoop onto a plate and serve!

Extra crunch
