While you can always eat nachos right out of the bag, the best way to have them is to turn them into loaded nachos. You can serve these as a snack during your movie nights with your loved ones or even as an appetiser when you’re having guests over. A blend of many flavourful ingredients, here’s how you can recreate our nachos recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp of olive oil
  • 500g of minced beef
  • ½ red onion, sliced
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • ¼ tbsp of ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp of chilli powder
  • 200g of black beans, drained
  • 500g of nachos (or tortilla chips)
  • 30g of cheddar cheese, grated
  • 20g of goat’s cheese
  • ¼ avocado, peeled and diced
  • 1 bunch of coriander, chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 120g of sour cream
  • 1 lime, quartered

Nachos Recipe

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  • In a pan over medium-high heat, add oil.
  • Add in minced beef and sauté until brown.
  • Add onion and sauté until soft.
  • Add garlic, cumin, and chilli powder. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Add beans and stir to mix.
  • Lined the baking tray with aluminium foil and arrange the nachos in a single layer.
  • Pour the beef and beans filling over the nachos.
  • Top with cheddar cheese and goat's cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with avocado, coriander, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. Serve with a lime wedge.
