Ingredients

  • 1 small cauliflower, or 1/2 a large head
  • 2-3 tbsp of oil
  • 2 slices of ginger, sliced
  • ¼ tsp of sea salt
  • 180ml of chicken stock
  • 120g spring onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil

Cauliflower Recipe

Directions

  • Wash and cut cauliflower into florets. Remove as much water as possible from the cauliflower.
  • Add oil and fry the ginger slices in a pot or wok for 1 minute.
  • Add the cauliflower florets and salt, fry till brown spots appear.
  • Lower the heat, pour in the chicken stock and stir. Leave to simmer for two to three minutes.
  • Add in the spring onions and sesame oil, mix and serve hot.

Being careful when cooking

When cooking our cauliflower recipe, be careful of the hot oil. Cooking cauliflower is simple and easy, but it is best to take precautions. If you do not dry the cauliflower enough, the leftover water from the vegetables will cause the hot oil to splatter. Try your best to shake off as much water as you can from the cauliflower after washing it. Face the bowl away from you when adding the cauliflower into the wok and step back to avoid any oil splatters.
